Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton unintentionally makes himself look bad while being brutally honest

It's no secret the relationship and the way it all ended between Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton and former quarterback Russell Wilson was not good. We all knew that when Payton was screaming at Wilson on the sideline during the middle of a game.

This season wasn't as bad as you would think based on all the headlines everywhere. If you didn't follow the sport at all but read a few headlines, you would think this team was the worst in the league. Yet, they were a few wins away from making the playoffs, which is way better than their odds the year before.
Wilson played much better this season, too, and somehow, he was made the scapegoat. We don't have to explain what all happened because everyone knows by now, but we do need to discuss how the Broncos head coach is handling it all afterward. If you ask me, it's not a good look.

"No," Payton said bluntly at the Annual League Meetings when asked if it was hard to move on from Wilson.

This is a grown man who has consistently acted like a child during situations like these. We have seen him be rude to reporters in the media and do some other things that kind of make you scratch your head. Throw this one on there, too.

The question was valid, as Wilson's cap hit was pretty sturdy, and he was a good player in 2023, along with a guy players obviously liked. So, for him to act the way he does, it's pretty weird. Maybe it's just time for everyone to move on, but as long as that cap hit is still on Denver's books, it's going to be hard to forget.
